Disaster Response (domestic) – Packing list
This is my typical Wildland Fire / Hurricane packing list
ALWAYS

| 911: Emergency cash/card (suggested: $150) |
Clothing
| Clothing: 1 city outfit |
| Clothing: 2 pair of shorts Bicycle shorts/silkies These go under nomex pants. Avoid chafing and potential junk-crud |
| Clothing: 2 pairs of pants |
| Clothing: 14 t-shirt |
| Clothing: 15 pair of underwear |
| Clothing: 18 pairs of socks ( Your feet are your paycheck take care of them two pair/day) |
| Clothing: Jacket or sweatshirt |
| Clothing: Leather gloves Company provided |
| Clothing: Rain gear Poncho |
| Clothing: silk long johns |
| Clothing: Sweatshirt or Jacket, something to keep you warm on cold mornings |
MISC
| Food: Lunch (During the first 24 hrs you supply your own food) Snacks!!!! Bars!!!! Energy powder! |

I always bring my sleeping bag. How long the disaster has been going on/what the supply chain is like will depend on me bringing my tent/cot. (If I can borrow one there, I’ll leave the weight at home).
